In news that may well cause a media storm not unlike Susan Boyle, it seems the Brit’s have uncovered another class act.

Danyl Johnson, a 27-year old teacher from Reading [rhymes with bedding] in Surrey, made his debut on Britain’s ‘X-Factor’ on Saturday, and the audience almost went into meltdown. Hailed as ‘the single best audition this season,’ by Simon Cowell, Danyl’s performance was of such show-stopping impact he received a rare standing ovation. But if it weren’t for his students, his remarkable vocals would still be unknown.

“I said to them if they did really well I would sing at the end of term… I sang and they went absolutely insane! They all said, ‘you should do The X Factor!’  he explained to reporters for the British channel, ITV. “So I thought, okay, maybe I should?”

And not only can he sing well enough to turn Elton green, but Danyl also writes his own songs. But there’s one skill he has yet to master — telling those kids he’s now on-course to be a big star, “I still haven’t told them…I can’t wait!” he revealed. “But I want to make sure I make them proud.”

As this video will show (above) you, he’s quite safe on that.
