Kristen Stewart and Taylor Lautner a pair?

In what is either cause for concern, or just more premature hype, it seems Robert Pattinson has a rival for Kristen Stewart’s affections — and it’s one of his buds on the cast!

Taylor Lautner, who has played Jacob Black since Twilight’s first chapter, is apparently driving Miss Kristen crazy,  “I love that kid!” Kristen, 19, has told People. “I would do anything for him. I would kill for him…literally.”

But 17-year old Taylor – who scored an impressive 1st place in Access Hollywood’s, “Top Five Hollywood Abs” – nearly missed his big chance to star, “They wanted to make sure he was right,” says Kristen, who pushed hard with Twilight’s producers to get Taylor the part. “He was 16 at the time. But I knew he had to do it – because of how I felt around him. I literally saw Jacob in him.”

And even when Taylor had landed the part, things didn’t get easy — The 5’10″ Grand Rapids native had to gain more than 30lbs for the film’s third installment, but he seems pretty pleased with his work, “New Moon is a lot more complex than Twilight,” he explains. “Bella is in deep depression when Edward leaves, and Jacob will always be there for her…New Moon is stepped up a whole notch.”

The movie will bow on November 2oth, but the trailer is already in theaters – and on You Tube. So now you can see for yourself…
