Michael Jackson’s brain which was being held by investigators for neuropathology tests has been returned to his family. The organ was removed from the 50-year-old singer’s body following his death on June 25 so pathologists could help determine the cause. But a spokesman for Los Angeles Department of Coroners (via the Telegraph) said that the brain had now been returned to be united with the rest of the corpse, adding that it had been handed over “last week”.

Speculation will now once again turn to where the King of Pop will be buried, with speculation suggesting that the family is preparing to bury him in an unmarked grave in Los Angeles’ Forest Lawn Cemetery. The burial place in Hollywood Hills was the site for the Jackson family’s private memorial for the Thriller singer. There had been early speculation that Jackson would be buried at his Neverland Ranch, but local authorities may fear the grave will become a pilgrimage for Jackson’s millions of fans worldwide.

Meanwhile once again loose lipped law enforcement investigators have leaked (to TMZ) that the unreleased toxicology report, shows Jackson had a lethal amount of the anesthetic Propofol in his system alon with some Xanax his system. No surprise to most who follow the case.
