Leo and Ridley set to team up

Director Ridley Scott is set to team up with Leonardo DiCaprio to take on one of the most highly regarded  works of literature, Aldous Huxley’s vision of the 26th century world “Brave New World.”

It’s easy to see how these two came together for this film. Scott has been very interested in the 1931 novel, and DiCaprio’s Appian Way production company, owns the film rights.

So both will be producing the Universal project, with DiCaprio to tentatively star and Scott to helm, if all goes as planned.

According to Hollywood Reporter the studio has brought on “Apocalypto” scribe Farhad Safinia to start writing the script but at this stage the project is still considered to be in the development stage.

Scott directed DiCaprio in last year’s Middle East thriller “Body of Lies,” and the two are also producing dark thriller “The Low Dweller” at indie filmmaker Relativity.

DiCaprio seems on a futuristic track of late. DiCaprio is teaming up with Christopher Nolan (“The Dark Knight”) to star in “Inception.” Nolan wrote and will direct the science fiction story as his next movie at Warner Bros.
