Michael Douglas son busted for dealing in meth

In news that could make Gordon Gecko almost bust his suspenders, Cameron Douglas, the son of Academy Award-winning actor Michael and grandson of Kirk, has been arrested for dealing in drugs…Again.

The 30-year old part-time actor and DJ had been staying at the Gansevoort Hotel in the Meatpacking District, in a room paid for by his father. On July 28, the DEA raided the room and found Cameron strung out on meth, with around half-a-pound of the drug worth over $15,000 in the room, which the DEA says the actor was involved in a deal to sell in LA.

Unfortunately, Cam has quite a history of this: The New York Post is reporting that in 1999 he was arrested at New York’s ‘Tunnel club,’ when he tried buying cocaine from a dealer who was being tailed by the Feds. And in 2007 he was arrested again — this time in Santa Barbara, with a bottle of liquid cocaine and a syringe in his car.

When someone told Cameron’s daddy his son was in jail yet again, the actor was said to be ‘furious.’ A spokesman for Michael Douglas refused any comment, as did the US Attorney’s Office who are now in charge of prosecuting the case.

As of Friday, Cameron in still behind bars. The case is ongoing and we’ll keep you advised.
