Bryce Dallas Howard signs for Twilight Eclipse
After two life-changing, career-building turns in ‘Twilight,’ Rachelle LeFevre is fading to black.
The 20-year old actress, who played the villainous Victoria in ‘Twilight’ and ‘New Moon’ has now quit the franchise, claiming ‘scheduling conflicts’ as her reason to leave. Taking her place will be Bryce Dallas Howard, daughter of ‘Da Vinci Code’ director, Ron Howard.
The 28-year old actress and multiple Golden Globe nominee has honed her craft in such popular fare as,’Terminator – Salvation,’ ‘Apollo 13,’ and was most recently seen [with blonde hair] as Gwen Stacy in ‘Spider-Man III.’
“We are incredibly happy that Bryce has agreed to come into the franchise,” Erik Feig, Summit’s president of production tells the Hollywood Reporter. “Rachelle brought Victoria to great screen life and Bryce will bring a new dimension to the character. We’re lucky to have such a talented actress coming into the role.”
The third installment, ‘Eclipse’ begins shooting in Vancouver on Aug. 17th, with a release date of June 2010. For her part — or lack of it? – Rachelle has just won a role in “Barney’s Version,” a new indie drama that will star Dustin Hoffman. It also starts lensing in August — but 2,300 miles away in Quebec…So you can kind of see why Rachelle can’t play…
