Michael Jackson’s three kids to be raised by Aunt but it’s not Janet

In news related to our earlier story on Michael Jackson, numerous sources close to the family are saying that while Michael’s mom, Katherine, may get legal custody of the three children, his sister Rebbie (far right in photo) will be the one who does most of the raising.

The 59-year old singer – whose birth name is Maureen – now lives in Las Vegas and has kept a low public profile since releasing the last of her three solo albums, ‘R U Tuff Enuff’ in 1988. But she is said to have been closely involved with the issue of caring for Paris and the two Princes since her brother’s untimely death on June 25.

During what must be an impossibly difficult time for the family, Rebbie, already a mother to three kids of her own — Stacee, 38, Yashi, 32 and 24-year old Austin is staying with her own mom at the Jackson home in Encino, and taking care of the children and their day-to-day needs.

The disputes in the family over Michael’s estate are wide and well-known, but sources have told TMZ the one thing which is not in dispute is who will take charge of the kids once the legal affairs are all settled — All three children adore her, and whether or not they are placed in her custody, Rebbie’s the one who will raise them from here.
