Tim Burton’s Alice in Wonderland Trailer – News on ‘Dark Shadows’
Posted on July 22nd, 2009 by SusanThe trailer to Tim Burton’s Alice in Wonderland featuring Johnny Depp as the Mad Hatter has just been released. Burton’s sort of sequel to Lewis Carroll’s original story is dark and twisted, as expected. The movie stars Anne Hathaway, Mia Wasikowska, Helena Bonham Carter along with Depp and is set to be released on March 5, 2010.
Next up for Burton is another remake of sorts but out of TV Land instead of literature. Burton told MTV News, he will begin the principal photography for “Dark Shadows” in 2010, as soon as he has finished with Alice. “Shadows” will be based on the ‘60s soap opera of the same name, an ABC daytime TV show that incorporated elements of gothic romance, science fiction and supernatural phenomena like ghosts, zombies and vampires. Depp will reportedly play the lead, as vampire Barnabas Collins.
