NFL QB Ben Roethlisberger entangled in alleged assault

In a story related to our news about Shaq yesterday, Ben Roethlisberger, as you may all know, is currently dealing with a sexual assault allegation, and things have been getting quite weird.

Ben’s a big fan of golf, and a worker at the Harrah’s casino in Lake Tahoe, Nevada — Andrea McNulty – has filed a complaint against him, claiming Ben, 37, sexually assaulted her during a tournament in 2008. Sources tell TMZ the pair knew each other, but the whole sexual thing was entirely consensual.

Now comes the weird part: A former friend and co-worker at Harrah’s has told reporters that at the same time she claims Ben attacked her, McNulty was already involved with a man who was married. The man’s wife soon discovered their secret and enacted a twisted revenge — She opened an email account, posing as a Soldier based in Iraq, and began writing McNulty, who soon fell in love with the mystery marine and told all her friends the two were engaged. When the wife had her fun she stopped the exchange – and McNulty then told her peeps that the soldier had died.

Another Hurrah’s co-worker told reporters McNulty then began seeing a psychiatrist, because of the loss of this mystery lover. And those sessions are still going on.

Everyone at the casino seems eager to talk — except Ms McNulty. The assault case is proceeding and we’ll let you know when the next twist arrives.
