Michael Jackson's young son thinks his father's aliveIn the latest twist of a story that’s clearly on course to unravel for months, Michael Jackson’s youngest son, Prince Michael II, [seen here, third right] is not yet aware that his father has died.

The seven-year old, known to the family as, ‘Blanket,’ is said to have been ‘confused’ by last month’s memorial service, and is still asking relatives where his daddy has gone. “Blanket is still unsure about what happened to his father,” says Mark Lester, who is godfather to the three Jackson kids. “He asks, ‘Where’s daddy gone? On vacation?’ It was a rhetorical question, and it just broke my heart.”

Best known for his scene-stealing performance in the 1968 musical, ‘Oliver,’ the 50-year old British actor was an impassioned defender of Michael throughout the late singer’s trial for alleged molestation in 2005, and his bond with the children is well known to all. “Prince was quiet after the service — which is unusual for him. Paris gave me a tight hug, and I told her her dad would always live in her heart and be remembered by at least half the world. She said, ‘I’m just glad he’s at peace.’ ”

Since the service, all three children have asked to spend Christmas with Mark. “Paris was sad that my own daughters couldn’t come to the memorial. She asked to come and stay at Christmas and bring presents,” he told Inquisitr. “I was very touched and I hope it can be arranged. But that’s hard to know until the custody is final.”

One telling point of his recent remarks is Mark’s clear insistence that the two oldest children have no connection whatever to their surrogate mom, Debbie Rowe. “The children don’t know her and haven’t seen her for years. The possibility they might be split up ['Blanket' was born by another woman] is unthinkable, and it would be disastrous for them.”

He’s sure got that right.
