Mischa Barton summons LAPD intervention – now under involuntary psychiatric hold

In December 2007, former “O.C.” star, Mischa Barton was involved in a routine traffic stop that ended in her being arrested on charges of DUI, possession of pot and driving with an invalid license. After pleading ‘no contest’ and making a plea deal she got off with probation.

Before she checked into rehab, Mischa told Ryan Seacrest on his radio show, “I don’t ever intend to do something this stupid again.”

All of which causes concern when you learn that Mischa, 23, called the LAPD yesterday and asked for medical assistance, “Shortly after 3 p.m., a patrol car responded to her home to assist her with medical issues,” Karen Rayner of the LAPD told E News. “No-one was arrested and no-one else was involved.”

It’s not known if these ‘issues’ were resolved on the scene, but the London-born actress was then ‘escorted to another location,’ according to the LAPD. Was that a hospital? They wouldn’t say. And Mischa’s reps are not sharing a word.
