Michael Jackson death to be upgraded to homicide?

Sources close to the LAPD’s ongoing inquiries are saying the Detectives in charge of the case may be about to re-classify Michael Jackson’s death as a homicide case.

As we reported on Friday, new evidence apparently points to the anesthesia drug, Propofol [aka, 'Diprivan,'] as the prime cause of death. Several vials of the drug were found in the Holmby Hills mansion which Michael was renting when he died on June 25.

Sources also confirm there is ‘plenty of powerful evidence’ that links Dr, Conrad Murray — the physician appointed by those in charge of Michael’s comeback at London’s 02 arena — as the person who administered what may soon be regarded as the critical dose.

Officers with the LAPD have had ‘multiple conversations’ with Dr. Murray, but his lawyer would give no clues on their outcome, or even confirm that his client gave Jackson the drug. The Doctor has not yet been served with subpoenas or warrants, and the LAPD would only describe their inquiry as ‘active and ongoing.’

Since Michael’s loss, a large quantity of Propofol has been recalled by the makers, Teva Pharmaceuticals, after samples were found by the FDA to be contaminated. It’s not yet known if Mr. Jackson was given any of the tainted product.
