Tony Romo Dumps Jessica Simpson the Night Before Her Birthday

As football season draws nearer players vie for making the team and avoid getting cut.  Seems that Dallas Cowboy quarterback Tony Romo has made his won preseason roster move, dumping his famous girlfriend, Jessica Simpson, the night before her birthday.  Ouch that’s got a hurt.  The two have had their rough patches in the past where they looked to have called it quits.

A source close to the singer, 29, told People magazine that she was “heartbroken” at the news.

“She loves Tony. But it’s been difficult lately. He’s busy with his career and she’s getting ready to shoot her show ‘The Price of Beauty.’ They decided to part ways.”

Simpson spent a quiet weekend with her family, shelving plans for a Barbie and Ken themed party (perhaps that’s why Tony made his move the day before). Meanwhile Romo was spotted hitting a Los Angeles club with a large group of friends.
