Lily Allen admits crush on Snow Patrol singer

When they have a crush on someone, most folks will tell maybe one or two people.

Lily Allen shared her news with 30,000 close friends.

The 24-year old Londoner was one of the stars at MTV’s ‘Oxegen’ open-air festival over the weekend, and told the assembled masses, who turned Ireland’s Punchestown Racecourse into an ocean of canvas that she’d love to get down-and-dirty with the Snow Patrol guys. “If I had to share a tent with anyone, it would be Gary Lightbody from Snow Patrol.”

Among a melodious cast that included Blur, ‘Kings of Leon’ and ‘The Killers,’ Lily told her fans she’d brought a new tent, and The Snow Patrol folks were welcome to drop in anytime. “They look like they’d be clean. I don’t know if I’d say the same for myself.”

And the feeling seems mutual. By the time Snow Patrol took the stage, the audience had grown to 80,000+, and half-way through their set, lead singer Gary Lightbody stopped the show to dedicate a song to Ms. Allen. “I’m going to sing this one for Lily Allen.” he explained to the fans. “She’s a great girl; Really something. So this one’s for her.”

They then launched into ‘Shut Your Eyes,’ — and the night air was filled with wolf-whistles and cheers.
