Gemma Arterton unveils a new bond of love

Gemma Arterton beat 1500 other hopefuls to play ‘Strawberry Fields’ in the Bond picture, ‘Quantum of Solace’ – and it won her a husband as well!

The 23-year old Brit had to play love scenes with Daniel Craig in the movie, but her affections were roused by the mystic Italian who doubled for 007. “It’s so cute,” one source told the News. “He was Daniel’s body-double, and there was chemistry from the start. They’ve been together for a few months now and it’s great to see Gemma so happy.”

The pair kept it low-key, but this weekend Gemma and her new love, simply known as, ‘Stefano,’ threw a party at Gantons Brasserie in the center of London to announce their engagement. Family and friends arrived loaded with gifts, and the new couple greeted them — both dressed in red. And Gemma was flashing a three-diamond ring.

This is not the first time Gem’s found romance on a film set — While filming the upcoming Jake Gyllenhaal-starrer, ‘Prince of Persia’ she got romantically tangled with the swarthy young Spaniard who taught her to ride – stuntman, Eduardo Munoz. But that soon broke down when Ed got too serious too soon.

Her next planned encounter with film is as Cathy in Emily Bronte’s classic, ‘Wuthering Heights.’ Fellow Brit, and ‘Gossip Girl’ star, Edward Westwick, 21, will take on the sizable challenge of being her Heathcliff.
