Melissa Rycroft engaged to be wed!

After being callously dumped on national TV, during ‘Bachelor’s, Season 13,  Melissa Rycroft has found true love at last.

The 26-year old Texan is now sporting a very large ring, after accepting a proposal from boyfriend, Tye Strickland, whom she’s been timeshare-dating for more than two years. “He’s my best friend,” Melissa told People in April when their latest connection was announced to the press.

Tye, an insurance agent from Dallas, asked the big question at Southlake’s ‘White’s Chapel’ last Friday, and presented Melissa with a box that even had its own lighting to make the sizable rock really sparkle. The answer was yes, and the new couple then assembled their parents and friends at the Brio Tuscan Grille on Grand Avenue to celebrate their big news. Mel even sent a tweet to her fans over Twitter.

A former Dallas Cowboys cheerleader, Melissa found fame on season seven of DWTS, and her upcoming husband was often seen in the crowd. But with her just-announced role as ‘Special reporter’ for ‘Good Morning, America’ it’s hard to know when she’ll have time to get wed.

No actual date has so far been chosen, but we’ll let you know as soon as she shares.
