Dancing with the Stars judge Len Goodman hides cancer scare

With cancer now back in the news after Farrah’s untimely loss just last week, it’s been revealed that another well-known celeb was also at risk.

‘Dancing with the Stars’ judge, Len Goodman, discovered his cancer in March at an annual check-up, but true to that saying, ‘The show must go on,’ the 65-year old Brit refused to get treatment until the new season of ‘Dancing…’ was safe in the can. “I could have said ‘sorry’ and not done the show, but the doctors felt it wasn’t a life-or-death scenario,’ he modestly said.

After exploratory surgery to remove the rogue cells Len is now at work once again, and well on the mend. ‘I’ve had the surgery and everything’s great. I’ll be back in September for sure.’ he told the UK’s Daily Mail.

Between trips to the States to do judging on, ‘Dancing…’ Len also works on the BBC’s version – and even those bosses did not get the truth, ‘No one at the BBC knows,’ he says. ‘It’s not necessary to blab it to everyone. I’ve only told half a dozen people.’

Len admits he was scared to begin with, but the cancer was spotted, the tumor has gone and the lovable juror is now fully restored. ‘I feel good,’ he admits. ‘I was obviously worried at the start, but I was in the hospital for four days, then it’s just a couple of weeks of recuperate,’ he said.

What a guy. The new season of “Dancing…” bows on September 21. Tune in and check out some Brit grit.
