Anderson Cooper to come out in New York?

The urbane Mr. Cooper is due to attend the Sapphire Lounge on New York’s West 49th Street for Unvogue Magazine’s debut of their latest Men’s Issue — and the wags at the mag have already named it, ‘Anderson Cooper’s Big, Fat Coming Out Party.’

Those in charge at Unvogue have spent weeks trying to tempt Mr. Cooper to host tonight’s bash — which just happens to also be the start of New York’s ‘Gay Pride’ [now there's a hint,] and their PR experts have just confirmed to the press that the CNN maven will be in attendance.

The son of iconic stylista, Gloria Vanderbilt, Anderson, 42, is said to be highly amused by the web magazine’s name, and although he’s not officially hosting the show, those in charge have concocted some très gay wine spritzers, and instructed their dance troupe [all men] to practice a lap-dance called the A.C-360…The mind fairly reels!

It’s also been rumored that a well-known ‘American Idol’ contestant will be at the bash. No names are allowed, but it might end in ‘bert.’ All proceeds from the ‘fabulous’ function go to the HIV Arts Network, so it’s for a good cause, and if you can get in we wish you good luck.
