Rachel Hunter wedding aborted by email

With great looks, a killer body and most of Rod Stewart’s money, you’d think Rachel Hunter was set up for life. But there’s now a new hole in the model’s life — her planned future husband just dumped her in text.

‘She is absolutely devastated.” a friend told the Mail. “Everything was in place – she had the venue, the designer dress, the guest list…She has no idea why he did this. It could be a case of cold feet – He is a lot younger than her.’

Since divorcing Rod in 2006, 39-year old Rachel’s had numerous friends, from Canadian hockey star Sean Avery to the famed Robbie Williams, but true love didn’t bloom until she met another canuck with a puck, Jarret Stoll.

The 27-year old star of the Los Angeles Kings was all Rachel wanted, and after two years of dating they planned to get wed. The service was scheduled for August 14 and folk like Sharon Stone and Ms. Pfieffer were due to attend. The pair even bought a $3-million Hermosa Beach home for them and Rachel’s two children from Rod to enjoy…

Then Jarret sent the guests a short email and told all of them that the whole thing was dead.

Rachel’s reportedly ‘confused and heartbroken’ by this sudden disposal, but Jarret still won’t give her one reason why. One good point is that ex-husband Rod has been there to help, ‘Rod has been amazing through all of this – a real support.’ says a friend of the victim.
