Since her divorce from Guy Richie, Madonna has lost several things. But the hardest of all seems to be her luxurious home in the heart of old England.

‘Her Madgesty’ is apparently so mortally peeved at having to part with Aschcombe, her palatial estate in the South West of England, she’s given orders to rebuild it on the Upper East side. She bought an old townhouse which is now being remodeled to recall her old home – And she’s driving the workers all nuts!

“It would have been easier to just ask Guy if she could take everything with her from Ashcombe,” says an exhausted source.

Among her lost treasures was a huge collection of Oriental rugs – but Madge is now convinced they’re bad luck. So she ordered detailed lists of every room in the house, and now has squadrons of flunkies running all over town, desperately trying to find things that match.

Even the floors were a target; She’s had all the wood trashed, and replaced it with tile — just like at Ashcombe.

And if you think she’s done, you’re not even close — Friends are reportedly getting concerned as her latest plan is to import live chickens, so her kids will feel more at home. And it won’t end at that, you can bet.
