In news that must have involved one of Harry’s best spells, it’s been revealed that Sir Michael Gambon, known to the boy-wizard’s worldwide legion of fans, as Albus Dumbledore, is now a new dad — At age 68.

And the baby’s not shared with his wife.

Sir Michael, who joined the world of the wizards in 2002 when the first Dumbledore, Richard Harris, sadly died, has two homes and two ladies; He and his wife live in Kent, then he travels to London a few times a week, where he and his 34-year old mistress, Philippa Hart, have some…personal time.

“Philippa gave birth at a London hospital without complications,” a friend tells the Sun. “Little William is a beautiful, bouncing baby.”

And this is the pair’s second child. Their first co-production – named after his dad – debuted in May, 2007.

Friends say Sir Michael’s wife, Lady Anne, is aware of his ‘hobby,’ and neither she nor their son, Fergus, 44, has ever stood in his way. “Michael is open with his wife and she accepts the second relationship, though there have been rows in the past.” we’re assured by a source.

The classically-trained Brit, described by his friends as, “A private man, delightful with friends, but who has a short temper,” can be seen once again in the new Harry Potter, which bows on July 15th.
