Farrah Fawcett to wed, but not doing well

In a story whose implicit love and conviction is diluted only by how rare such tales are, it’s been reported that Ryan O’Neal and long-term love, Farrah Fawcett, are finally planning to become man and wife.
“I’ve asked her to marry me, again – and she’s agreed,” O’Neal, 68, tells ABC’s Barbara Walters, in an exclusive interview that’s due to air Friday.
Ryan has proposed several times since the couple first met in mid-1980, but the 62-year old actress has politely declined. “I used to ask her to marry me all the time,” he explains in the ABC show. “But it got to be a joke; We just joked about it.” With his lover now in advanced stages of cancer, his latest proposal proved a welcome success. “I promise you, we will marry,” he tells Barbara, firmly. “Absolutely.”
The former ‘Charlie’s Angels’ star has been battling cancer for over three years and is now “fighting for her life,” according to Ryan. But humor helps keep the pair sane – Ryan often teases that he’ll dress like a gigolo for their wedding day. “You know? A little thin mustache and slicked-back hair. We have fun, we tease about that.” he explains.
It’s not known yet if their son, Redmond, 24, will share their big day. He’s still in rehab after being arrested in April, but Ryan is applying for short-term parole so Mother and Son can share time before Farrah leaves.
In the last few minutes Farrah has been admitted to hospital and is ‘not doing well.’ according to a source close to the couple. Her overall condition is said to be deteriorating, but it’s believed she will be well enough to leave some time today.
The story’s evolving and we’ll keep you informed.

My prayers and sympathy are with the family and especially for Farrah. I thought about her last night and how young she is and I am turning 52 this year and life goes so quickly.
We take it for granted and should never do that as the days go by. We need to embrace each and every single day.
Love to her and family,
