Just one day after TLC launched its comical ‘teaser’ campaign to boost sagging ratings, the male half of this forthcoming train wreck is already shopping for a solo abode.

Yesterday, Jon Gosselin was spied prowling the gleaming ‘Trump Tower’s in NYC’s Upper West Side, “I was at my friends apartment at Trump towers on 66th and Riverside, and we met the Realtor of the building in the hall — and she was with Jon” says a source. “It was clearly him! We all rode the elevator together, and I noticed his eyes were all bloodshot. He was looking at an apartment on the 8th floor.”

Their nightmarish marriage aside, life must be good for the boy – Even one-bed apartments at the Trump start at $3,600 a month, and a studio recently came on the market at $639,000, plus tax. [The couple are said to score $75k for each show.]

The 21-story neighborhood icon boasts a health club, a huge pool, full-service sauna, a nursery [there's handy!] and a pretty great view of the now-famed Hudson River.

Kate recently consulted a lawyer to begin a divorce, and the couple were planning to officially split by July 15th — But even that date was moved closer so both can escape. The ‘official’ announcement airs Monday at 8pm. What happens to the show after that is still up in the air.
