Jon and Kate Gosselin to go public Monday
With their numbers in free-fall and at least one of their seedlings lucky not to need an ER, it seems TLC have found a new way to sell Jon and Kate.
Last night, the low-profile channel bowed a promo for a 1-hour special, due to air Monday. “Jon and Kate Gosselin have an announcement,” it read.
Mixed between messages of feigned melodrama such as, “A family in turmoil” and “A relationship at a crossroads,” the spot features Kate making doom-laden statements such as, “Recently, we’ve made some life-changing decisions – decisions that will affect every member of our family. Ones that we hope will bring us some peace.”
Why not bring us some peace and try broadcasting in analog?
The season premiere scored 9.4-million viewers. Since then the ratings have dived, and this is TLC’s newest ‘brainwave’ to get them back up. This is no longer reality, it’s child abuse with commercials.
