Usher court papers hint at ugly divorce

Usher court papers hint at ugly divorceAs we reported earlier, Usher and his short-term lady, Tameka Raymond, have filed for divorce. And this looks like it could get nasty.

The required court papers are now all in place, and it makes for some pretty sad reading. The pair were married in a refined civil ceremony on August 3, 2007, but according to the papers, filed in Georgia’s Fulton County Court on Friday, they’ve been apart since July of last year

That means their marriage lasted a mere 11 months.

“The marriage is irretrievably broken,” the filing confirms. “There is no reasonable hope of reconciliation.”

That’s the sad part. Now, here’s the juice: Listed in those same papers are Usher’s demands for disclosure: He wants a full list of all logs, recordings and files his soon-to-be-ex has kept or had made. Also, copies of all, ‘notes, cards, letters, photographs, film, voice recordings, gifts, jewelry or clothes” that relate to his behavior during their shared life.

And best of all, he wants copies of ‘detective reports, photos or recordings resulting from either surveillance or investigation’.

Yes, kids — Ush seems convinced that Tameka’s had a private eye on his trail – And he wants the results so there can be no sudden ‘leaks.’

If he’s right, this could soon be a scandal. And let’s not forget, there are children involved. Usher wants shared custody of 18-month-old Usher Jr. and 6-month old Naviyd, saying the two boys are “substantially dependent upon each party for support.”

This is a serious bind for Tameka. If she hands over the papers, her case may be sunk. And if she declines, this could drag on for months. With two kids in the middle, that’s just too sad.

The case is ongoing and we’ll keep you advised.
