Katie Holmes thrilling on 'Think You Can Dance'Our story yesterday on how Katie Holmes could soon be cruise-ing the floorboards of ‘Think You Can Dance?” seems to have started a siege — the details just keep coming in…

The former Dawson’s Creek diva will, so it seems, pay homage to the great Judy Garland in her now-certain debut, dancing to “Get Happy,’ Judy’s show-stopping salvo from her 1950 MGM swansong, “Summer Stock,” in which she stars with Gene Kelly.

Even Katie’s ensemble will be a tribute to Judy — Swathed all in black, she sports a black velvet fedora, patent leather heels, black nylons, a figure-hugging shirt and a really short skirt that truly shows off her legs.

The big number takes place on a scaffold, made to resemble a big-city roof, with eight male dancers in razor-sharp suits also strutting their stuff. Fully into the mood, Katie twirls her long hair and “seductively shakes her hips,” according to spies. At one point she even gets airborne, being easily raised overhead by the guys. Then in a climactic moment she flings the fedora and it’s captured in mid-flight by one of her pals.

Series producer and judge, Nigel Lythgoe is in personal charge of Katie’s still-unseen set, and he and the dancers have been toiling for hours. But even though she’s only danced once before [on Eli Stone,] Katie is said to be on course for a smash; “She looks incredible!” a spy told Us. “Everyone is just floored by how talented she is.”

The results may be broadcast this week because of the leaks, but those in charge are apparently eager to save their big star for the 100th show, which airs July 8. Either way, it’s a show not to miss.
