Chastity Bono going forward on becoming a man with a Reality TV show

So which is more weird — That Chastity Bono is becoming a man, or that word is emerging that she and her people have been shopping a reality show on the deal?

The 40-year old offshoot of Cher and Sonny Bono has already made quite a mark on the world as a civil rights advocate, author, musician and spokes…er, man?…for GLAAD, but according to her rep, Howard Bragman, Chaz — as he is now known – “has made the courageous decision to honor his true identity.”

Before the news broke, one charming morsel that at least circled the fan was that both Chaz and mom, Cher, did the rounds of the networks, trying to sell the whole gig as a reality show. So now the op is confirmed and the show didn’t fly, that makes the last part of Mr. Bragman’s release look slightly bizarre, “He is proud of his decision and grateful for the support that has already been shown,” it reads. “But we ask that the media respect Chaz’s privacy during this process as he will not be doing interviews at this time.”

So interviews read by a few million people are out, but a reality show that could potentially be seen by half of all human life is somehow okay.

That’s some truly strange logic.

We wish Chaz the best, and hope all goes well with his plans.
