Rihanna summoned but parties on with Fergie and Aubrey ‘Drake’ Graham

On the same day she was officially summoned to give evidence in the oncoming trial of Chris Brown on June 22, Rihanna managed to handle the stress rather well by cruising Manhattan’s night-life with several friends – Among whom was Aubrey ‘Drake’ Graham, the Canadian rapper with whom Rihanna is known to be increasingly close.
First spied together at the Lucky Strike Lounge on May 18, the pair were seen laughing and chatting at chic New York nightspot, The Griffin, last night, at a party to mark the release of a deluxe ‘Black Eyed Peas’ album, sold only at Target.
Insiders say the upcoming court date did not seem to dampen her mood. Dressed in a voguish gray sweater dress and gold, Italian hoop earrings, Rihanna arrived at around 11.30 and stayed until almost 2am, schmoozing with guests and enjoying the sounds. DJ, Will I Am, was in charge of the vinyl, and Fergie and her ‘peaps’ also favored the crowd with a selection of songs from the new special disk, with which the Grammy-winning group scored their first number 1.
The usual denials of a link have been made, but as the evening wound down, the true depth of their bond was made touchingly clear; In a hopeless attempt to avoid press attention, Drake left just before Rihanna, but then lingered outside like a love-stricken puppy until his new lady emerged. They then left simultaneously, but in separate cars.
What went down after that, we can only surmise.
