Actor Johnny Palermo killed in car wreck

Actor Johnny Palermo, whose brief but rewarding career spanned a gamut of shows from ER to Days of Our Lives, died Monday in a fatal and as yet unexplained car accident in North Hollywood. He was 27.
Johnny was the passenger in a car driven by his girlfriend, Alessandra Giangrande. Both were pronounced dead at the scene. Another passenger, Alessandra’s brother, survived the crash, but is now in Intensive Care with serious injuries whose extent is unknown.
From a brief debut on ‘Cold Case’ in 2004, the Rochester NY native went on to appear in more than thirty shows, including ‘CSI Miami,’ ‘ER,’ ‘How I Met Your Mother’ and most recently in three episodes of ‘Everyone Hates Chris,’ as Frank DiPaolo, Chris’s overgrown classmate. His posthumous big-screen debut in the indie film, “Pizza with Bullets” is currently scheduled to bow in the fall
The cause of the crash is now being determined and relatives were all informed Monday night.
