Susan Boyle now well, and on course for riches
Sudden fame can be stressful, as new British singing star, Susan Boyle, has discovered. But after a brief respite in a clinic to regroup and recover, she’s now relaxing at an undisclosed address in London and in much better spirits, according to Gerry Boyle, Susan’s brother.
Gerry, 47, told a UK breakfast-TV show that Susan had a brief anxiety attack after the contest on Saturday, and was merely checked into the exclusive ‘Priory’ center so she could rest, after weeks of non-stop stress and attention. “She’s much happier. She’s seems a lot more like herself,” he told the BBC.
Before the brief respite, Susan was due to join the ‘Britain’s Got Talent’ tour which kicks off next week, but those plans are now open until her health problems clear. She has also spoken to people who can help her career and been soundly assured that coming second last weekend was by no means the end. “Things are becoming clearer for her now.” says Gerry. “She’s beginning to believe that she will be a singer.”
Despite not winning, Susan is expected to make millions from singing, and the gambling world is already offering excellent odds on her scoring a number-one hit in the US by Christmas.
Part of that fortune is already in prospect as the West Lothian native has now been offered $500,000 to perform at the anniversary party for Demi Moore and husband, Ashton Kutcher. The high-profile couple discovered Susan on YouTube, and have been ardent fans ever since. Demi even sent out a tweet, saying she was ‘moved to tears’ by Susan’s rare gift. “Demi and Ashton think Susan is absolutely brilliant, in a fantastically unique and kitsch way.” says a staffer. Demi’s even teased Ash that Susan could eat him alive.”
The idea, so it seems, is a cocktail party, with Susan as the star of the night. Demi and Ashton have offered to fly her to their mansion in Hollywood to sing at their September function, but so far Susan has made no response.
