Melissa Joan Hart in cruel off-set gaff

In yet another sad example of the addictive potential of transient fame, former ‘Sabrina, the Teenage Witch’ star, Melissa Joan Hart, 33, was in LA on Friday to do a promotional spot on KTLA and was heard off-camera telling a staffer she’d been praying cancer-stricken Farrah Fawcett wouldn’t die, as this might knock Hart off the cover of People.

This lady clearly spells ‘witch’ with a ‘B’!

‘Sabrina’ was canceled in 2003 and Melissa’s last brush with fame was writing a ‘Potty training’ blog early last year. Now she’s in town to plug her new ice cream and candy store, ‘SweetHarts,’ while starring on page one of People in a [too small] bikini after losing a remarkable 42-pounds…Presumably by not eating ice cream or candy?

Go figure.
