Tori Spelling’s mom blasts daughter for rift
In what sounds like the basis for one of her late husband’s frothy TV shows, Candy Spelling is blaming her own daughter, Tori, for causing husband Aaron’s death by refusing to have any family contact.
In a radio interview yesterday, Candy told reporters that she and her ’90210′ actress daughter have been almost strangers for several years. “I’ve been trying to work on the relationship, but I don’t know what the anger is. My daughter one day decided she wasn’t speaking to us, and that’s how it’s been for four or five years.”
This frigid divide, according to Candy, robbed her multi-millionaire husband of his will to live. “It was sad because that’s what killed my husband actually.” she says. “He had done everything he could for his daughter, and she wanted no part of him once he couldn’t do more.”
Just two days after Aaron’s death in June of 2006, Tori gave a venomous interview to US Magazine in which she claimed her still-grieving mom had cheated on Aaron with a family friend. A year later the two briefly met when Tori, 36, gave birth to a son. But Candy now says Tori won’t return calls, and she has no idea where her daughter even lives.
Tori, however, denies the whole deal. The problem, she told Fox News, is not that they’re not talking, they just haven’t talked in a while.
You think, maybe, returning a call might fix that??
“I love my mother. I’ve always loved her.” claims Tori. “We simply never meshed. My mother is who she is. I’ve become who I am. At some point I realized the two didn’t go together.”
If you held your ear against the side of her head, I swear you’d hear the sea.
