Susan Boyle Makes It to Show Finals (Video)
Posted on May 25th, 2009 by SusanScottish singing sensation Susan Boyle made a new television appearance last night, giving a rousing, but occasionally nervous, performance on the “American Idol”-style show “Britain’s Got Talent,” with a version of the song “Memory” from the musical “Cats.”

Members of the public voting in a telephone poll picked her as the best of eight performers who appeared Sunday.
“You are one special lady, I have to say, you really are,” Simon Cowell, one of the panel of three judges, said after Boyle’s performance brought the audience to their feet. After her performance on Sunday, Cowell was moved to apologize to Boyle, saying she had been poorly underestimated. “You know what, I just want to apologize because of the way we treated you before you sang the first time,” he said. “You made me and everyone else look very stupid and I’m very happy for you, very proud for you.”
Producers said the 47-year-old’s appearance was being posted on the Internet almost immediately, after about 60 million people watched her last performance via YouTube.
Boyle will next appear Saturday night for the grand finale living her dream to perform for the queen. She will be joined there by Diversity, a troupe of street dancers who came second on Sunday, and two other acts yet to be decided from the second semi-final.
