Queen Eyeing Adam Lambert As New Lead Singer
In a slightly odd, and yet well-sourced, rumors, band Queen has been considering asking American Idol runner-up Adam Lambert to sign on as their new frontman.
According to an series of emails with Rolling Stone magazine, Brian May said that they had become fans of Lambert over the course of the season. Queen themselves have been guest teachers on the talent show in the past.
“It’s not like we, as Queen, would rush into coalescing with another singer just like that. It isn’t that easy. But I’d certainly like to work with Adam,” one of the emails said.
This would be one of several attempts at finding a new lead singer, after the tragic death of Freddy Mercury in the early ’90′s. In any case we’re pretty sure Adam is going to do very well for himself regardless of his not winning AI.
