Kiefer Sutherland and Fashion Designer make peace
Looks like Kiefer Sutherland may be in the clear for the head-butting incident. He and designer Jack McCollough, say they’ve resolved their differences, clearing the way for the charges to be dropped.
Sutherland’s representatives told The Associated Press on Friday that the actor is sorry about what happened and regrets McCollough was injured. And the designer, Jack McCollough, wished the “24″ actor well.
The story was the 24 star who may have had a few too many drinks, confronted McCollough, a fashion designer for the label Proenza Schouler, after the man allegedly bumped into a perhaps tipsy Brooke Shields, knocking her over and then just walking away. When the designer pushed Sutherland, the actor head-butted McCollough in the face allegedly breaking his nose.
Sutherland was charged May 7 with third-degree assault in the incident. No word on if and how much it cost Kiefer to make this all go away. Sutherland is due in court June 22 on the charge and certainly now has also averted a civil suit.
