Terri Seymour attacked by crazed Idol fan

Terri Seymour, correspondent for ‘Extra’ and a former girlfriend of ‘American Idol’ judge, Simon Cowell, was attacked by an unbalanced fan while leaving the show’s taping last night.

According to the LAPD, the 35-year old former model was exiting the Nokia theater at around 7pm when she was approached by a fan who asked if she was Simon’s ex girlfriend. When Terri said yes, the fan, Janice Thibodeaux, 33, promptly attacked Ms. Seymour, attempting to strangle her for reasons as yet unknown.

Nearby LAPD officers involved in crowd-control promptly broke the pair up, and Thibodeaux was immediately cuffed and removed from the scene. She has been charged with felony battery and is now in custody on $32,000 bail.

Born in Hertfordshire, England, Terri began dating Simon, 48, back in 2002. But she ended their link last September as she wants to have children, and Simon does not.
