Hugh Jackman passing from super hero to ghost

Published on May 4, 2009 at 12:49 PM

With ‘Wolverine’ setting cash registers ringing to the tune of $160-million worldwide in three days, Hugh Jackman will now be in serious demand, but the hunky 41-year old Aussie already has his next target in sight; He and his wife [boo, hiss!] Deborra-Lee Furness, are preparing a movie where Hugh plays a ghost.

Entitled, “Ghostopolis,” the story revolves around the government’s ‘Supernatural Immigration Task Force’ in which Hugh has the task of returning ghosts who escape to the real world back to their rightful place with the spirits. By some chance, a living young boy is sent on this journey, and Hugh and his [as yet uncast] assistant must return him to Earth right away.

The spirited tale is not even in book form as yet, and is another from the prolific pen of writer, Doug TenNapel, who already has three other films in production. Disney will run this one, with Hugh as Producer, but no director or writer have yet been decided.
