Heidi Montag and Spencer Pratt battling flu fears

Heidi Montag and Spencer Pratt enjoy married lifeIf you’re getting worried by all this news about Swine Flu, spare a thought for Heidi and Spencer — they’re right next to the source.

The freshly-minted bride and her hubby are in Cabo San Lucas, shooting Heidi’s next video, “Sex Ed.” But the couple tell reporters it’s been hard to focus on work with all this concern about health. “We’re wearing face-masks everywhere we go,” Spencer told Ryan Seacrest on his ‘KIIS-FM’ radio show today. “We’re not playing – We’re in isolation.” Heidi added. “Every second we’re washing our hands!”

But this isn’t their honeymoon, so all is not lost. The new couple plan to take that in a week, once Heidi wraps on her shoot.

“We’re discussing with MTV going to Tahiti or Fiji, somewhere tropical and exciting,” Spencer explained. “But since it’s a recession, we might just go to Santa Monica Beach!”

Heidi is still clearly recovering from their hectic weekend; She describes the ceremony as, “Unbelievable! All of our friends and family were there, and there were so many fans waiting outside. We really appreciate their support. It was the best day of my life. It was just amazing.”

But the lavish occasion was not without news; “Heidi has a father and a stepfather, and they both wanted to walk her down the aisle,” Spencer told the scribes at US. “That didn’t work out quite as planned.” And at the rehearsal dinner it was her Momma’s turn, “There was something between Holly and her mom,” Spencer explained with admirable diplomacy. “Alcohol and weddings are not meant to mix,” he concluded. “It was out of line,” Heidi sadly concurred.

So will the new man-and-wife soon become Mom and Dad? “No! I’m only 22!” Heidi replied with an incredulous stare. “I think marriage is one thing, but kids are another. Maybe in ten years.”
