Lindsay Lohan and Sam Ronson in top-secret trysts

It looks like the flames of passion may not be extinguished for Lindsay and her BFF, Sam. They’ve been meeting in secret and some of these late night liaisons have turned into morning farewells. Samantha, 31, was spied leaving Lindsay’s abode at 6am Friday, after being inside the whole night. Lindsay repaid the visit the very same day, arriving at Sam’s in the gloom of the evening and not emerging again until well after dawn.

Since then, Samantha’s Facebook status has changed from ‘Single’ to ‘It’s complicated,’ according to the NY Post. The reasons for this you can judge for yourselves. According to close friends, her burning need to rekindle their romance is why Lindsay lost so much weight. “She’s a self-destructive person,” says one friend. “It’s all a cry for attention. She wants Sam to see she’s hurting and she wants Hollywood to see her as a tortured artist who is wasting away. This is merely a desperate need to be noticed.”

If that’s truly the case, it appears to be working; During a guest-spot on Ellen last week Lindsay told Ellen she doesn’t believe she and Sam are quite over. “I really care about Samantha and we’ll see what happens,” she said. “I love her.”
