Perez Hilton takes down Criss Angel and Miss California in Las Vegas Weekend

Renowned or perhaps infamous celebrity blogger Perez Hilton had quite the weekend. His never ending quest to be a star himself probably will get a big boost with all the extra publicity this week. While his confrontation with the Miss USA runner up has been highly publicized Perez caused another tiff that was highly amusing. Attending the mostly panned Criss Angel’s “Believe” at the Luxor on Friday night, it took Hilton about 20 minutes like most to reach the conclusion that the show is insufferable.

Hilton like many has latched onto Tweeting and fired off his critique in mid show to his over half-million followers: “We are 20 minutes in and Criss Angel’s Vegas show, Believe, is unbelievably BAD!”

Hilton’s other Tweets on “Believe” included: “I would rather be getting a root canal.”

At the end of the show the “Mindfreak” illusionist who’s camp supposedly saw Hilton’s twitters gave a parting shot at curtain call according to Norm Clarke’s Review-Journal column:

“I have to recognize someone special here in the house,” said Angel, according to a showgoer. “Perez Hilton, please stand up.

“We have the world’s biggest douchebag asshole in the house!” Angel said.

Perez Hilton smiled broadly and said, “Thanks for the free tickets.”

Angel likely made an enemy he is going to regret.

Perez known as the ‘queen of gossip’ spent the next in in Vegas as  a judge at the Miss USA pageant.  Unluckily perhaps for Miss California Carrie Prejean (on left, from the Prop 8 state itself) drew Hilton as her questioner (Queen vs Pageant Queen Hopeful) and uncharacteristically for this show asked a direct, genuinely relevant question near and dear to his heart:

“Vermont recently became the fourth state to legalize same-sex marriage. Do you think every state should follow suit? Why or why not?” Prejean apparently caught off guard stumbled on her answer, which started with: “I think it’s great that Americans are able to choose one or the other.” (We are?) “We live in a land where we can choose same-sex marriage or opposite marriage.” (We do?) She then goes on to say she chooses the latter — you know, “opposite marriage.” In my country, in my family, I believe a marriage should be between a man and a woman.”  Honest question and honest if not a diplomatic answer.  Of course being diplomatic is what these pageants are all about so given that Miss California was runner up did she blow here chance to win with her answer?  As for Perez, he did his usual knee jerk first and promptly blogged about what a dumb bitch Miss California was. Showing a bit more class afterward, he retracted the sentiment and instead issued a standing coffee date with the Miss America non-winner.
