Harry Potter to close with original cast for epilogue

Harry Potter has been a sensation, and with worldwide grosses at $10-billion and rising the only thing left for a boy wizard to do who has half the world in his spell is to find a good exit, and that’s now in play. The emotive conclusion of this global tsunami, “Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows,’ is due for release in 2010, and Warner execs have assured MTV the original cast will be there to the end.
J.K. Rowling had written a flash-forward conclusion that shows the main players as adults, and fans bombarded the studio with demands that they don’t employ doubles for this critical scene. And as you’d expect when you deal with a wizard, their wish has been easy to grant; David Yates, tapped as Director for Harry’s farewell, assured the reporters the original cast will be used for the closing epilogue that portrays the main characters in later life.
But the task is not easy; Rowling’s final book is a monster, and though ‘Hallows’ is being shot as one film it will be released in two parts, because of its scale. Part 1 will debut in November 2010, with a tearful farewell in July of ’11.
This magical munchkin and his sleight-handed sorcery have enchanted us all for over six years, and if you’re in withdrawal the news is all good – You don’t have that long to wait; The cinematic prelude to Harry’s departure, “Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince” is scheduled to bow on July 15th.
