Linda Hogan attacks Hulk for ‘totally gets OJ’ remarks

Sometimes a celeb will issue a statement so jaw-droppingly stupid, it comes back to haunt them. And Hulk Hogan has now joined that regrettable list.

After his comments in this month’s Rolling Stone, in which he compares his current divorce to the 1994 double-homicide that involved O.J. Simpson, his reps are desperately trying to patch up the hole before the Hulk digs himself even deeper. “Hulk in no way condones the OJ situation,” says the rep. “As part of a larger conversation, he merely referred to it to exemplify his frustration with his own situation.”

Meanwhile, Linda Hogan doesn’t see it that way, “Hulk’s serial cheating destroyed our marriage, our family and future,” she snaps in a statement sent to Us Magazine. “His recent comments show his definition of fair is very different than what the law dictates.”

In the interview at the center of this well-publicized spat, Hogan blows up at Linda, 48, for evicting him from their 20,000 square-foot home, to be replaced by a pool-boy 30 years younger. “I could have turned everything into a crime scene, like OJ, cutting everybody’s throat,” says the Hulk, 55. “You live half a mile from the home you can’t go to, and you see a 19-year-old boy in your Escalade, and know he is sleeping in your bed, with your wife.” he continues. “I totally understand OJ. I get it.”

The Hulk — born, Terry Gene Bollea – retired from pro-wrestling in 2003, but Linda’s reps still see some risks from his high-profile career, “We have always maintained the fear Linda had to live with comes from the rage and instability so often seen in pro wrestlers.” says the statement. “Linda and her family are taking these comments seriously, and her attorney is weighing all options to protect his client.”

So the Hulk may not be exactly out for the count, but he’s sure going to pay for this error. In more ways than one…
