Tennis great Roger Federer Marries Longtime Girlfriend Mirka

Tennis star Roger Federer and his longtime girlfriend, Miroslava ‘Mirka’ Vavrinec got married on Saturday in a small ceremony in his hometown in Switzerland. Federer announced the wedding on his Web site, saying the couple got married: “In my hometown of Basel, surrounded by a small group of close friends and family, Mirka and I got married.”

The news comes about a month after the tennis star announced on his website that Mirka is expecting their first child.  Federer and Vavrinec met at the 2000 Sydney Olympics.
