Woody Harrelson blames ‘zombie infuence’ in his attack on photographer
Following in the footsteps of Daniel Day Lewis, Woody Harrelson has taken method acting to a whole new extreme, if you believe his latest alibi for an alleged assault. TMZ, apparently sent an undead photographer to haunt actor, Woody Harrelson and his daughter at New York’s La Guardia Airport this week. After a TMZ photographer pursued Harrelson and his twelve-year old daughter inside the airport, an alleged tussle ensued between the Hollywood dad and the photographer. Harrelson claims, after wrapping up the grueling filming of the movie, “Zombieland,” he mistook the photographer for a flesh eating zombie.
I kind of see the photogs more as blood suckers than zombies, but then again Woody’s been alleged to have a strong regard for the wacky tobaccy. The whole alleged undead encounter is of course available on TMZ’s site. The “zombie” photographer claims Harrelson broke his camera and hit him in the face. The unnamed photographer filed a complaint with the Port Authority of New York.
Video shot by the photographer with a second, smaller camera, shows Harrelson apparently reaching for the camera lens as the determined photographer follows Harrelson and his daughter down an escalator and out of the terminal.
The second video shows the photographer accusing Harrelson of breaking his camera. When Harrelson who’s been known to have some anger management issues, returns the camera, but then an apparent scuffle breaks out. The photographer is heard asking Harrelson to “chill out,” accusing him of assault.
In determined zombie fashion, the dogged photographer pursues Harrrelson and his daughter for four additional minutes as the dad and his daughter make their way through the airport parking lot. Once they get inside a waiting SUV along with a driver, the zombie encounter comes to an abrupt halt.
A similar encounter ensued between Harrelson and a TMZ photographer outside a Hollywood nightclub in 2006. No criminal charges were filed, but the photographer, Josh Levine filed a $2.5 million lawsuit against the actor.
