In a clear and quite understandable quest to mange his grief by being focused on work, Liam Neeson has just accepted his first acting role since the untimely death of his glorious wife, Natasha Richardson on March 18th.

The 56-year old Actor is in final talks to play Zeus, King of the Gods, in a re-make of the 1981 classic, ‘Clash of the Titans.’ And his character is due to face some superb opposition — Ralph Fiennes is signed to play Hades, tyrannical ruler of the dark underworld, while sterling support will come from Sam Worthington, who will play Zeus’s son, Perseus, the legendary warrior who slayed the Medusa.

The new role will be Liam’s first turn in front of a camera since the tragic events of last month. He recently completed the last scenes for “Chloe,” the movie on which he was working when his wife had her fall, but has been seen only rarely in public since then. “Liam is taking care of his kids and making sure they’re okay,” a friend told reporters from People. He and his sons, Michael, 13, and Daniel, 12, were seen at a soccer match in London on Saturday, but have avoided reporters since their heartbreaking loss

This fine Irish actor can currently be seen in, “Taken,” which, despite a slow start, has become a surprise hit at the box office, earning over $130-million in the US alone. The new movie will start production in England this summer.
