Keira Knightley Films Graphic Domestic Violence Ad For Charity (VIDEO)

Keira Knightley has filmed an ad entitled Cut, about the dangers of domestic violence to raise awareness, re-teaming with her “Atonement” and “Pride & Prejudice” director Joe Wright.
In the shocking and graphically violent ad, the Pirates of the Caribbean actress is seen getting beaten by a fictional jealous boyfriend who believes she is having an affair.
The ad, NSFW video below, begins with Knightley leaving a film set and arriving home to find her angry accusatory boyfriend. Her young, glamorous character not unlike Rihanna challenges stereotypes, of the downtrodden housewife who are supposedly the typical victims of domestic violence.
She then gets brutally attacked. Keira is seen curled up on the floor as she is repeatedly kicked in the stomach during the two minute advertisement.
According to the Daily Mail, ‘Domestic violence affects one in four women at some point in their lifetime and kills two women every week.’
Keira said: ‘I wanted to take part in this advert for Women’s Aid because while domestic violence exists in every section of society we rarely hear about it.”
The advertisement debuts in the UK on April 6th.
