Suleman babies in danger, says Nanny’s Attorney
Considering the troubles revealed in yesterday’s article, you might think things could hardly get worse for the Octomom. According to a story in US Magazine, apparently you’d be misinformed.
Interviewed on the Today show, Gloria Alred, 58, a high-profile Attorney who works with ‘Angels in Waiting,’ the free Nanny service recently fired by Ms. Suleman for reasons that are still in dispute, says their former client only cares about her new babies, ‘when the cameras are rolling.”
Ms. Suleman, 33, dispensed with the Agency’s services earlier this week, claiming they were spying on her and reporting her to Child Welfare officials. Ms. Allred was incensed by this allegation and made it clear on the show that this is a coin with a far darker flip-side, “The whole issue is one of security. Nadya has told the world where she lives, and her home is easily found on the Internet as a result of her daily blogs.”
And it would seem Ms. Allred’s fears are not without cause; An intruder was recently discovered on the grounds of Ms. Suleman’s new $565,000 home in La Habra. A nurse was also allowed into the home without any need to prove her ID. “Instead of improving security, she puts in her own jacuzzi,” Ms. Allred remarked.
The Octomom’s concern that the Nurses may be reporting her lapses in care to the Federal authorities are, in fact, founded. To date, three complaints have been filed about her with Child Protective Services, according to Allred’s report. “Nurses are mandated reporters.’ she told the NBC hosts. “If a nurse sees a child endangered, they are legally required to report it.’
With a reputation as a fearful opponent, formed by her withering cases against Scott Peterson and O.J. Simpson, Ms. Allred has scheduled a news conference later today to address allegations regarding the Nurses dismissal, and says that despite the parting of ways, she and the Agency truly want Ms. Suleman to succeed with her bountiful brood. “But how can she succeed if she is subjecting her babies to potential harm? If she doesn’t come into the nursery .. except when the cameras are rolling?” Allred asked. “That’s wrong.” And most of us watching could hardly fail to agree.
