Movie Trailer for “Where The Wild Things Are” (VIDEO)

The trailer for the new Spike Jonze adaptation of “Where the Wild Things Are” has arrived.

The movie, due in theaters on October 16, 2009, is an adaptation of Maurice Sendak’s classic children’s story, where Max, a disobedient little boy sent to bed without his supper, creates his own world–a forest inhabited by ferocious wild creatures that crown Max as their ruler.  Featuring Catherine Keener, Mark Ruffalo, and introducing Max Records as Max, the film also has Lauren Ambrose, Chris Cooper, James Gandolfini, Catherine O’Hara and Forest Whitaker providing the voices of some of The Wild Things. The song in the trailer is “Wake Up” by Arcade Fire.
