Robin Williams recovering nicely from surgery

Movie star and stand-up comic Robin Williams is recovering nicely from surgery to repair his aortic and mitral valve as well as correcting an irregular heartbeat. Williams was initially hospitalized due to experiencing shortness of breath on his “Weapons of Mass Destruction Tour.  Williams plans to resume his comedy tour in the fall but no specific date has been set.

“His heart is strong and he will have normal heart function in the coming weeks with no limitations on what he’ll be able to do,” Dr. A. Marc Gillinov, a cardiothoracic surgeon at the clinic, said in a statement.
