Jack White forms band number 3
Jack White who is already the inspiration of two bands namely The Raconteurs and perhaps more famously The White Stripes has gone ahead and formed a brand new band, The Dead Weather which also happens to be his third active band.
Jack White made this announcement on Wednesday March 11th in Nashville where he hosted a private party and introduced the new band. The new group members are Dean Fertita from Queens of the Stone Age, Alison Mosshart of The Kills and Jack Lawrence of The Greenhornes beside Jack himself. It’s an impressive lineup with something old and something new. The Raconteurs consist of Lawrence & Fertita as performing members alongside White.
Giving his first notes on the newly formed group White said the group started out being friends eventually finding music as the common connection. Jack White said: “The idea was to do a 7-inch single and be done with it, but we started writing songs and something happened.” White says the band plans to tour this year.
Martina McBride, Sheryl Crow and White’s White Stripes partner Meg White, were among the 150 plus guest at the party.
